A bulging stomach. A boney frame. That’s what many people imagine when they think about the impact of hunger on the body. And it’s true, extreme hunger and malnourishment can have that effect. Yet, hunger can also affect the mind and body in ways that are less visible but just as devastating. As an organization, we are committed to ending hunger and its root causes, including racial inequity. Multiple families have been so grateful to be provided free coffee, vegetables, hot dogs, orange juice and more. “They hand out a variety of food. Not only is it an abundance of food, it is healthy food they are giving us.” -SF Bayview Hunters Point resident. Volunteers are amazing and they are doing a great job. They help connect neighbors facing hunger with healthy food. If you aspire to help, become a part of our team.
